Play God, Change the Weather...

As I said, the weather wasn't brilliant. So what do you do? Change it!

The sky was just solid grey, so I replaced it with blue and added the "Cutout" effect. If you have ever bee to Brighton you may know that this is the Brighton Pavilion. You weren't allowed to take pictures inside and there wasn't enough room around the buildings to take full photos, so I chose this little section and too the photo. When I got back to my computer I cropped the bottom off and applied the effects, and I did it with, you guessed it, Photoshop Elements 4. I really want the Full CS2, but I can't afford it!

Oh, and you might see some photos from RNAS Yeovilton. Sadly there was no activity outside, at all, but I did get some good shots inside the museum. Most of them will go in the folder for unloved pictures because they were blurred and the lighting was so bad. I would recommend the carrier experience as it was very good, and included in the price!

Seagull on the Beach

I took several different shots of this bird but this was by far the best. I was trying to use a wide aperture to just focus on the the gull its self. I am also glad that a wave was breaking in the background and that the light was just right. The colours were very good and the gull contrasted well with the sea.

I have got to go now, I'll post soon.

And the Winner is...

I have been to Sussex. The weather was awful in East Sussex, but a little better when we went to Brighton. The sun was in the wrong position to take ant good pictures of the pier but I did get some good ones from underneath and some wide aperture shots of sea gulls.

I will post some of the best as soon as I have chosen them.

Wood Burning Stove

I can't really think of anything to say about this photo.

It's just a fire really. I can't remember when or how I took it. I just wanted to share it.

Illusion

This is an interesting effect I have done with Photoshop. Mouse over to see what is wrong with the photo...

Good Bye January..

Hello February! It's sad I know, but I have decided it is time for a change. Goodbye...

Hello...

And we are truly international! I welcome your thoughts.

The Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy

This is another not-photo, its a screenshot from The Hitchhikers' Guide the the Galaxy film. I was listening to the audio commentary and heard about it so I took a screenshot. You can clearly see the the apple mac logo (Douglas Adams loved macs).

The other screen capture is of a nose at the Temple of Humma. The nose you can see was scanned off Douglas's face.

Not a Photo...

This is not a photograph I agree, but I am quite satisfied with it. It was originally a hand-drawn picture I did when I was board and decided to scan it in and artificially colour it.

It was in pencil so it was very grey and pale so I pushed a button on the scanner suite and all the lines when black! It must be witch-craft (or contrast adjustment)! Anyway, I loaded it into Photoshop and filled in any gaps in the lines then uses the magic wand and fill tools to colour it in.

Over all I am quite satisfied with the outcome and is better than the pictures I tried to draw using splines on Paintshop Pro 7.
